Description

Golden Jubilee is a unique 58ft cruiser stern narrowboat, that has been fitted for a wheelchair user. It is also ideal for someone with limited mobility. With the accessibility features being inconspicuous when not in use, this offers a open and roomy boat for everyone.

Access to the stern deck is via a set of ramps (included). Transferring to the steering seat enables anyone to steer the boat using a hydraulic system linked to a steering wheel. The wheel steering can easily be switched off to enable the tiller to be used. The seat on which the steering wheel is mounted raises and lowers enabling the skipper to view down the length of the cabin, and to lower where/when required. Cameras mounted forward and aft connect to a small screen on the steering housing this affords the skipper a view ahead and behind.

Entry to the cabin is via a hydraulic lift, serviced regularly, which will fit one wheelchair and user, or via removable steps. It would also be possible to get a longer mobility scooter into the boat, but not with someone riding it.

The interior of the boat is accessible for a wheelchair via a straight through cabin all the way to the welldeck.

The rear of the boat comprises a large open saloon with a Bubble Diesel stove for heating, shelving and a tv on a bracket (tv included in the sale).

This leads directly into the galley with a fridge/freezer, gas cooker and a Morco water heater, separate water filter tap, and twin sinks with wooden chopping boards/covers (great for hiding the dirty dishes from prying eyes).

Next is the walk through bathroom, with plenty of drawer and cupboard space, a shower over a small bath, sink with a separate water filter tap, and a macerator pump out toilet. There are doors either end of the bathroom that offer complete privacy.

Finally in the bow section are two bench seats offering more seating/alternative living space, that can be converted into a superking size bed (or 2 separate bunks), 2 wardrobes, more cupboard space, and a lift to enable a wheelchair user to access the well deck. There are USB charging points in the front cabin/bedroom.

Solid oak wood floor throughout, full windows throughout offering plenty of light, one side hatch, and portholes in the bathroom.

Steel plating: 10mm/6mm/5mm/4mm.

Engine: Yanmar Shire 1952 with twin Alternators

Stainless steel water tank holds 150 gallons, primary diesel tank holds 40 gallons and the secondary tank holds approximately 32 gallons.

Electrics comprise of 240 volt from a 2500 watt inverter, 6 leisure batteries, one starter/traction battery, and shoreline.

BSC is valid until January 2022, and the boat was out of the water in February 2020 and was blacked, and had new anodes (Boat has been religiously blacked every 2 years.)
