Aquarius is a great opportunity for a liveaboard to acquire a quality narrowboat. In need of some attention to restore her to her former glory but already usable.
Boat built circa 2000 by Dave Elwell with Beta JD3 tug engine.
Boat safety certificate valid until August 2020.
Heating is supplied by a Refleks diesel stove in living area.
Hot water is supplied by a calorifier linked to the engine with an immersion heater when the shoreline is connected.

Ceiling is varnished mahogany tongue and groove, upper sides comprise varnished medium oak tongue and groove in a diagonal pattern and lower sides are varnished medium oak panels.
Floor covering in the living area and bedroom is a mottled dusky pink carpet. Slate grey vinyl tiles cover the floor in the engine room, bathroom and galley. The boatman’s cabin has no floor covering, so the floorboards are exposed.
Window type and coverings: The living area, galley and bedroom have anodised framed square windows with top hoppers and bottom sliders. The bathroom has square windows with top hoppers; the engine room and boatman’s cabin have portholes. All square windows have Burgundy velvet curtains with brass poles to hold them in place.
Lighting in the galley, living and bedroom areas consists of LED strip lights with an additional reading/wall light in the living area and florescent light in the bathroom. The engine and boatman’s cabin have round tungsten type ceiling lights.
There are 2 double 240v electric sockets in the galley and 2 single 12v sockets, a double 240v in the living area with a single 12v socket, a double 240v and single 12v in the bedroom and the same in the engine room.
The galley is located at the front of the boat with moveable steps leading down from the front deck. Wall and base units are gloss white with feature metal handles. The melamine worktops are a marbled charcoal pattern.
There is a free standing LPG cooker which has a 4 burner hob, grill and separate oven.
Work top height Fridgemaster fridge with ice box. Inset stainless sink and drainer with a mixer tap.
2 free standing patterned armchairs and leather covered footstool. Glass fronted display cabinet.
Refleks diesel stove set on feature hearth. Dark wood, glass fronted cabinet for standing a TV on, with aerial and electrical sockets above.
Side hatch for letting in light and fresh air. The panels on this need replacing.
Leading on from the living area is the bedroom with a fixed double bed. There is open storage underneath the bed and a wardrobe at the base of the bed. A small wicker drawer unit is in the opposite corner.
Next to the bedroom is the walk through bathroom with a bath and hand held shower head above. There is a portable thetford cassette toilet, vanity sink with storage below and mirror above.

Boatman’s Cabin (Rear Living/Dressing Room):
There is an additional living cum dressing room at the rear of the boat featuring a seating area/bed, storage cupboards and a small inset stainless steel sink. Removable steps lead up to the rear back counter.
Front deck has large canopy covering the useful storage space or creating a covered area for sitting in. It has drop down sides for easier access. The gas locker is located at the front of the bow.
The rear doors need attention where the paint has worn. The weed hatch is easily accessible from a hatch inset on the back counter. There is also a rain cover to protect the steerer from inclement weather.
The external paintwork is in good condition, although there are areas that need attention on the roof.
Ropes, mooring stakes, lock windlasses and other cruising essentials are included but we would recommend you go through our checklist before departing to ensure that you have everything that you need.
BETA JD3 Tug with PRM 260 gearbox. Regularly serviced at 18 month intervals by Oxley Marina.
The exhaust needs replacing.
There are 3 fire extinguishers and a fire blanket.
